Elizabeth D. ‘Miss Bette’ (Bernier) Lynch, 89 of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home, surrounded by her cherished family. She was the widow of the late Edward F. Lynch who passed away in 2007 after celebrating 50 years of marriage together.
She was born in Lawrence on April 29, 1934 and was a daughter of the late Emile Bernier and the late Kathleen (Wilkinson) Bernier. She was raised in Tewksbury, where she attended the neighborhood schools, graduating from Tewksbury Memorial High School.
Elizabeth made her home in Tewksbury for the last 60 years, where she lovingly raised her family and established Bette’s Dance Studio on Chandler Street. For more than 40 years, she poured her heart and soul into being a dance instructor at the studio, imparting the art of dance to countless students. Additionally, she took great pleasure in gardening and cherished summers spent at Hampton Beach alongside her family.
Elizabeth is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Fisette and her husband, Russ of Wolfeboro, NH, Laura Dunn of Londonderry, NH; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Daniel Lynch and his fiancé, Anne Salas of Merrimack, NH, and David Lynch and his wife, Pam of Derry, NH; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph Bernier and Patricia Fone.
