Roberta Ruth Rincker November 5, 1930 – September 9, 2023
Roberta Rincker, 92, of Prosser, WA, died peacefully in her sleep September 9, 2023 at her home in Amber Hills Senior Living.
Roberta was born in Henry, NE November 5, 1930, to Evalyn V. and Dennis C. Johnson. She was raised on a farm in the Sheep Creek area near Henry, NE. She graduated from Torrington, WY High School and continued her education in nursing. Roberta married Clarence M. Rincker September 11, 1949, and they started their married life together in Laramie, WY. They moved their family to Prosser, WA in 1957. After their children were independent, she turned her energy to helping the community. She was active in the United Methodist Church, Prosser Hospital Auxiliary, American Red Cross, Goofer Hoofer Square Dance Club; she was recognized with several awards for her volunteer activities in Prosser including the Outstanding Woman of the Year.
Roberta is survived by four children, Pat Donald and her husband, Robert Stack, Opelika, AL; Shirley Kelley and her husband, David, Yakima; Dale Rincker and his wife, JoAnn, Hermiston, OR; Nancy Richman, Prosser; her sisters, Vivian Lillie, Homedale, ID and Donna Clark, Gering, NE; sister-in-law, Lola Rincker, Chadron, NE; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; son-in-law, Shawn Richman; brothers in law Glenn Lillie, Jim Clark, Bill Rincker, and Everett Rincker; and sister-in-law Linda Rincker.
The family would like to thank the staff of Amber Hills and of Heart Links Hospice of Sunnyside for their loving care.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., October 2, 2023, at Prosser Cemetery in Prosser, WA with a memorial service to follow at 11 am at the Prosser United Methodist Church.
