Anna Reo Costa Mello, 84, of Pine Lane, Johnston, died Friday, September 15, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Antonio Costa Mello.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Amalie (Amato) Tassoni. She had lived in Johnston for over 30 years previously living in Smithfield.
She was the owner of the former Riverview Soldering and Casting in North Providence for over 40 years before retiring.
Anna is survived by her sons: Anthony Reo and his wife, Robin of Chepachet and Louis Reo and Rachel of Smithfield, and a grandson: Anthony Reo. She was the sister of the late John, Robert and Joseph Tassoni.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 30th at 10am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Visitation will be Friday, September 29th from 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
