Andrew Cornelius Westberry, II, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, September 18, 2023, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Evergreen Cemetery, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Donnie Wright, the Rev Edwin Allen Peacock, Jr., and James Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Westberry was born October 25, 1943, in Baxley, Georgia, to the late Andrew Cornelius & Mary Smith Westberry. He worked for General Telephone Company, as a lineman and as a supervisor. He later retired from Windstream. Mr. Westberry loved watching football, camping, gardening, and riding his lawnmower. His favorite time was spent with his two grandsons, which he loved dearly. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Lawanda Westberry of Fitzgerald; one daughter, Tina Lawanda Peacock & Ramon; two grandsons: Russell Ramon Peacock, II & Lila Rose and Andrew-Allen Peacock and his fiancé, Leann Marie Brown; a brother, Clinton Westberry and a sister, Mary Lee Williamson. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Dora Williams, Mildred Boatright, Anna Harris, Myram Crummy, Florene Boatright, and Dink Gribble.
