Alice W. (Swift) Knowles of Walpole died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the age of 95. She was born and lived her early life in Foxborough before moving to Walpole. Alice was the wife of the late Glen E. Knowles Sr., the mother of Glen E. (and his wife Elaine) Knowles of Millville, Glenda N. (and her husband Edward) Watson of Walpole, Alice W.(and her husband Joseph) Capachin of Wrentham, Laurie Knowles of Walpole and the late “Ted” Knowles. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Alice sang in the choir at the United Church in Walpole, was a Girl Scout leader and Regional Girl Scout Organization Director, operated her own successful antiques business, was an accomplished saleswoman, and was an avid bird watcher and environmentalist….but, above all, family was the most important.
Alice had requested that her Funeral Service be private for the family and simple in nature…..those wishes are being carried out.
