MILLBURY___Teresa (Szkutnik) Kiebala, 92, of Millbury and formerly of Worcester passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023 with family by her side at UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
Teresa leaves her daughter, Bozena Kiebala-Borowska and her husband Peter of Millbury with whom she made her home, her granddaughter, Barbara Borowska-Behpouri and her husband Chris, a brother, Tadeusz Szkutnik in Poland and nieces and nephews.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband, Michal Kiebala and by a daughter, Barbara Kiebala. Teresa was born in Augustow, Poland a daughter of the late Leon and Emilii (Sienkowskich) Szkutnik and also lived in Krakow Poland for many years. Teresa came to live in Worcester 33 years ago to help care for her granddaughter.
Teresa enjoyed helping care for her granddaughter when she was young and watching her grow up. Teresa was always there for every important milestone of her granddaughter and always cheering her on. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her daughter, watching Polish TV and movies, especially watching Anthony Bourdain and his travels. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, going to the movies, lunch, or getting ice cream. Teresa enjoyed going for car rides with her daughter and granddaughter and seeing new places. She loved animals, especially her beloved dog Morus in Poland and cat Malinka, who kept her company when she lived in the US. Teresa also loved the many family pets and enjoyed spending time with them. When she wasn’t spending time with her family, Teresa enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and, most recently, coloring. She was always happy and always had a smile on her face. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church.
Teresa’s funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 with a Mass at 12:00 P.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be private.
