Patricia Jean Mannion (Strem)
03/03/1953 - 09/11/23
Patty, age 70 ~ passed away peacefully while surrounded by loved ones at her daughter & son-in-law’s home on September 11, 2023 after years of a well fought battle of sickness.
Patty was born on March 3rd, 1953 in Lowell, MA and went to school and was raised in Tewksbury, MA.
She was a nurse for over 50 years, absolutely loved her job, and was one of the best one’s out there She took care of many patients in the utmost lovingly and compassionate way; which is all she knew.
Patty also enjoyed sailing, tending to her flower gardens, decorating her home, and shopping.
She was most definitely the matriarch; or shall we say; “The Queen" (I think she would like that better) of her family, was an extremely hard worker in order to take care of her loved ones; and always felt most comfortable and loved when surrounded by family.
Patty always adored and showered love and laughter among her family ~ but mostly her grandchildren and great grandchildren. These children were her most prized possessions in which she held near & dear to her heart.
“Nana’s Babies”- her great grandchildren, Jason, Eleanor, Ariah, River & Ryland are devastated by the loss of their Nana. These little ones were Patty’s heart & soul; purely the sunshine in her life.
She is survived by her loving daughter & son-in-law, Amy & Ross Hanvey of Lowell; her beautiful grandchildren, Amanda Mannion of Lowell, Devin Burns of Tewksbury, Talia Burns of Lowell, and her beloved twins, Robert & Cassidy Hargrove of Lowell.
She will sadly be missed and always be remembered by her best friend and niece, Laurie Lamarche of Lowell; her lifelong friend, Charles Roux of Tewksbury; her dedicated Godson, John Sheehan of Dracut; and six siblings, Karen Ward of Nashua, Joan & Patrick O’Sullivan of Windham, Susan & Ronald Beek of Wilmington, Michael Strem of Lowell, Paul & Mel Strem of Dracut; as well as the late Nancy Strem of Tewksbury.
Patty is also dearly missed by her late ex husband, Dennis Mannion; as well as Amy’s only surviving sibling, Shyla & Nelson Turcious Mannion; also Patty’s precious niece, Janine & Jason Cadger ~ with whom Patty took her last breath with, as well as many other nieces & nephews, and many, many dear friends and co-workers.
Also, after a lifetime of sorrow~ Patty will now finally be reunited with her late infant son, John Patrick Mannion, with whom she will be buried with.
Patty’s family would like to invite you all to a Celebration of Life which will be held on Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at The Sandbar Beach Club & Grill, 39 Elm Street, Tyngsboro, MA from 2-6 p.m.
