Obituary

WEBSTER – Robert A. Devish, 62, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 10, 2023.

He leaves his wife of 28 years, Vickie E. (Tatro) Devish; 4 children, Michael A. Devish of Worcester, Heather E. Devish, Justin P. Devish and his fiancée Katie Prince, and Brandon R. Devish, all of Webster; 4 grandchildren, Grayson, Daxston, Avery and McKenna; 3 brothers, Donald F. Devish and Thomas E. Devish and his wife Tara, all of Webster, and Michael C. Devish of Dudley; a sister, Donna Young and her husband Eugene of Thompson, CT; nephews and nieces.

He was born on May 10, 1961, a son of Raim and Virginia (Moore) Devish and graduated from Bartlett High School in 1979. He was a lifelong resident.

Mr. Devish served in the United States Navy from 1980 to 1983.

He first worked as a heavy machine operator for Guaranty Builders, Inc. in Douglas; he then repaired machines at Cranston Print Works Company, Anglo Fabrics and Toltec before he retired.

He was a member of the Kosciuszko Club and had served as vice-chairman on its Board of Members. He liked fishing, playing pool and horseshoes.

A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, October 28, at the Kosciuszko Society (Bush Hall), 10 Dresser Street. Webster. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
