Sherri Oliver Stuver, ScD, of Quincy, MA, died at the age of 61 from a long illness with Multiple Sclerosis, on September 13th, 2023 at home with her loving family by her side. She was a Clinical Professor of Epidemiology and Director of Epidemiology Doctoral Program at Boston University. She was also the Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Quality and Patient Safety at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She was a graduate of Harvard-Radcliffe College, AB, and Harvard University School of Public Health, ScD.
She was born and raised on Nantucket Island with her three sisters and large extended family. Every year it was a must that she had to taste the saltwater of the Nantucket shore, it was satisfaction like no other. Sherri lived life graciously through her faith and being active in her church. She was warm hearted, thoughtful, and beloved by all whom she touched. She was devoted and fully engaged in all aspects of her work up until the end of her life. Her family and friends were her highest priority. Her absence is profoundly felt by her loving and dedicated husband Richard Stuver and daughter Christina Oliver and son-in-law Kyle Oliver.
