Anna Papleacos
With a heavy heart we announce that Anna ( Stragouski) Papleacos reached the end of her wonderful life, surrounded and embraced by loved ones on September 2, 2023, at the age of 91 after a brief period of declining health.
Born in Kingston, Pennsylvania she was the youngest child of the late Joseph and Agatha (Dauksis) (Pongonis) Stragouski. She was raised in Tewksbury, MA where she met the love of her life, Stephen (Steve) Papleacos. It was there that they resided for many years while raising their children before moving to Bristol, NH.
She is survived by and will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Olga M. Papleacos and Maria A. Maniatakos and her husband Stephen, her two sons, Stephen N. Papleacos Jr. and John S. Papleacos and his companion, Maria Boisvert. She was affectionately known as “Yiayia” to her two grandsons, John and Nicholas Maniatakos, whom she cherished. Anna is also survived by many relatives both locally and across the country.
She was predeceased by her husband Steve to whom she was married for 51 years. She was also predeceased by her brother Joseph Pongonis who raised her following the death of her parents.
All services were held privately for the family. Friends wishing to honor Anna are invited to make a donation in her name to The American Heart Association.
