LACONIA ---- Robert “Bob” Henry Mahoney, 51, of Gilbert Street, died on Monday, September 11, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Bob was born on December 4, 1971, in Laconia, NH, the son of Kay L. (Angers) Mahoney and the late Robert P. Mahoney.
Bob was a lifelong resident of Laconia, NH. Bob’s passion was coaching and watching football. He was the ultimate Pittsburgh Steelers and Laconia Sachems fan. Bob spent much of his spare time volunteering, when his kids were young, running the time clock and coaching for the youth football league in Laconia. Bob worked as a landscaper for The Ridge in Gilford, NH.
Bob’s favorite title of all though was “Grumpa.” He loved his three granddaughters to the moon and back a million times and was always at his best when he was with them. Bob also liked to fish, hunt, BBQ, and watch college softball whenever he could.
He was a partner, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, son, coach and friend. These titles were created by him and his community who would say he was never perfect, but gave the best effort in everything he did.
Bob is survived by his significant other, Kimberly Lavigne; children, Kattrina Lavigne and her two daughters Cecilia and Theresea Buttermore, Robert T. Mahoney and his daughter Lylyan Mahoney, William “Billy” Mahoney and David Mahoney; and sister, Traci Mahoney Barker and her husband Tim Barker and their children William Barker and Kaylynn Barker. Bob is predeceased by his father.
Per Robert’s wishes, there will be no services.
