WEBSTER- Frances V. "Franny" (Starzec) Lavallee, 91 died Sunday, September 10, 2023 with her family at her side. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Robert O. Lavallee, who died in 2016.
She leaves 3 children, David R. Lavallee and his wife Ann, Paula Aubin and her husband David, all of Webster, and Paul Lavallee and his wife Christine of Auburn; 8 grandchildren, Richard Cameron and his wife Andrea, Nicholas Cameron. Kristen Forgues and her husband Jared, Jonathan Lavallee and his wife Colleen, Katie Lavallee, Jordan Lavallee, Nicole Lavallee and Tyler Lavallee; 3 great-grandchildren, Elodie and Isla Cameron, and Jack Lavallee; sisters in law Jeanette Lavallee and Carol Lavallee; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, William, Chester, Raymond and Edward Starzec and by a sister, Emily Jajko.
She was born at home on January 12, 1932, the daughter of Alexander A. and Veronica (Motrucinski) Starzec and lived here all her life. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1949.
Her first employments were Underwood in Southbridge and Thrifty's Supermarket. Mrs. Lavallee was also a receptionist and office manager for her family's business, Webster Bottling Company. After her marriage she worked for her husband's business Lavallee & Sons Trucking Company. Finally Frances retired after 32 years as a cafeteria worker for Bartlett High School at age 80.
Franny was a lifelong communicant of St. Joseph's Basilica and a member of the former St. Joseph Polish Women's Club. She was active in the Webster Senior Center. She loved to play pitch and dance the polkas. She was an accomplished organist.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, September 25, from Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Visitation will be held from 9:15 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home prior to the Mass. Donations in her name may be made to either St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, or to St. Joseph School Fund, 47 Whitcomb Street, both in Webster, Ma 01570.
