Obituary

Oakham—Ashley Elizabeth Tuiskula, 18, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Saint Vincent Hospital surrounded by friends and family. Ashley was born on Sept. 11, 1987. She attended Columbus Park Preparatory Academy, St. Peter-Marian Jr. High, Project Coffee, and Quabbin Regional High. She represented her school in the city-wide Geography Bee and the Academic Olympics. She was a P.E.A.K. student and received the President’s Award. She played on Worcester Youth Soccer teams. Ashley was a graduate of Barbizon Modeling School in 2001, competed in the Miss Teen Worcester Pageant, and wrote an article that was published in The Boston Globe following the Worcester Warehouse Fire. She owned New Beginnings Jewelry and was webmaster for Project Coffee. Ashley graduated from Quabbin in June and was to attend Quinsigamond Community College in the Fall. Ashley was a beautiful young lady and will be sadly missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her mother Robin Tuiskula of Oakham, her father Osmo “Ozzie” Tuiskula of Worcester, her sister Jen Tuiskula of Oakham, her brothers Richard Goodney of Colorado City, TX, and Christopher Cloutier of N. Brookfield, her grandmother Joyce MacKay of Oakham, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street Worcester on Sunday, June 25, from 4-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Spencer Congregational Church, Main Street on Monday, June 26, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
