David with his twinkling blue eyes will always be remembered for having a smile on his face and a joke in his pocket.
He leaves Kay, his wife, with whom he shared a very special bond and they were so blessed to have so many years and memories together. David had a love for people, animals and life. Blarney filled his life with pure joy and was a cherished memory.
He used to say, “I am so lucky. I have two families who love me and I love them”.
David was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. His Newfoundland family includes Robert Stamp (Marina); Michele Stamp; Doug Matchim (Ruby); Stephen Matchim (Cassidy); Anita Dinn, Carol Dunphy (Joe) and Anna Matchim, a loving memory.
David’s Boston family includes Rick Griffin (Rita); Bobby Griffin (Kerry); Judy Frontiera (Joe); Sandra Hutchins (Fred); Wayne Dohms (Barbara). Clyde “Mac” McKeeman, Bertha and Michael Griffin who were loving memories.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Chapel and Cemetery, 181 Dorchester St., South Boston, MA. Masks are encouraged.
