Obituary

Eleanor Coffinet (nee Ross), of Milton, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 26th at the age of 92.

Loving mother to Robin Hanley of Milton. Devoted Grandmother of Jillian and her husband Thomas Guido of Quincy. Adored "Gigi" to Teddy and Lily. Sister of Judy Peterson, Patricia McNeil, Frank Ross of Foxborough, and the late Donald Ross, Paul Ross, Ruth Olsen, Dorothy D'Amore and Carol Burns. Aunt to many beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her most treasured companions, dogs Sissy, Gracie, Remy, and Lola.

Eleanor "Ellie" was born on February 10, 1931 in South Boston, MA, the eldest child of the late Frank and Sophie (Yuskowski) Ross. Ellie was always ahead of her time and prioritized her education and career during a time where many women shied away from the workforce.

She was passionate about her work and held several positions before starting her own Real Estate agency in 1979, Front Page, in her hometown of South Boston. Together with the help of her daughter Robin and Granddaughter Jillian, Ellie's business legacy still lives on today.

She was also passionate about slot machines, and her bi-weekly trips to what became affectionately referred to as "the office", Twin Rivers. When she wasn't at the casino, Ellie was an avid reader who enjoyed reading biographies and books about the Civil War. But more than anything, she enjoyed spending her time with beloved family.

Ellie overcame many obstacles throughout her life, both personally and professionally, but she never gave up. Most people were in awe of her strength and determination, she was truly a force to be reckoned with. Throughout it all, she remained one of the most positive people you could ever meet and always saw the bright side of things. Ellie was a fighter right up until the end.

Funeral arrangements are being handled privately by the family. Ellie's family would like to thank the caregivers and staff at The Dr Ruth McClain Hospice House in Braintree for their outstanding care and compassion.
