LIMINGTON- Early Sunday morning September 3rd Michael Roger Landry passed away at his home in Limington Maine. He was born on March 15th, 1951, to Ruth and Lawrence “Tank” Landry. A graduate of Westbrook High School he went on to work for Weyerhouser for 3 decades in his hometown.
Mike was a true Maine biker man. As soon as the snow and ice melted off the roads he was riding and would remain on the road until the snow flew in the late fall. His attire was his trademark. Leather boots with flames, sterling bracelets, skull and cross bone rings on every finger, enough earrings to short circuit even the best metal detector and plenty of leather. He rode for many different bike clubs over the years and was involved in the United Bikers of Maine. He and his wife Lorraine were always taking bike trips to Laconia, up the coast and all over the state of Maine. Mike also loved to swim. Steep Falls, Sebago Lake, Crystal Lake, his oldest friend Jackie’s pool and the Limington Rapids were just a few of his swimming holes. In the summer he could always be found at one of them with his Kids and Grandkids. He was also a very devout Christian. He attended and helped start many churches for decades. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and preached his message to all. He handed out small metal crosses to kids, adults, and total strangers everywhere he went. Often bringing big smiles to everyone that received them. He was known for being a big teddy bear, a kind soul and someone that always found the good in everyone and every situation. No matter what was going on in the world, a talk or visit with Mike made you feel like everything was going to be just fine. He loved you before he even met you, He will be greatly missed by us all.
Mike was predeceased by his father Lawrence Landry, mother Ruth Landry, sister Florence Perkins second wife Terry Landry and oldest son Jarrod Landry. He is survived by his Third wife Lorraine Landry, his middle son Adam and wife Jess, his youngest son Seth and wife Jan, his grandchildren Cam, Lily, Keegan, Kaden and Kaitlyn, his father-in-law Tony Sr, his stepson Tony Jr, his stepdaughter Ashley, his 10 step grandchildren, and many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20th at 2 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home, 71 Maple St., Cornish. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home website, www.mainefuneral.com
