Carolyn “Biddy” Garren Faulkner, 85, of Lenox passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mrs. Faulkner at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Lawrence Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Ronny Vice and the Rev. Conway Harris will officiate. Jeff Martin will give a eulogy.
Cameron Smith, Jason Smith, Tommy Garren, Caleb Barwick, Frankie Garren, Allen Tillman, Ricky Hill, Justin Johns and Raymond Johns will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Faulkner’s sons and her brothers and Eric Jordan, Liam Jordan, Myles Peacock, Jon Griffin and Dr. David Schaeffer.
Born October 23, 1937, in Tifton, Mrs. Faulkner was the daughter of the late James Garren and Lucy Mae Walker Garren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Travis Lamar Faulkner; one son, Roger Hill; and three brothers, Tony Dell Garren, Eugene Garren and John Garren. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Tifton. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, and she was an avid bird watcher.
Mrs. Faulkner is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Donna Hill of Tifton, Stanley Hill of Lenox and Lonnie Faulkner of Jacksonville, Florida; four daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Gary Dove of Tifton, Susan and Lyndell Easters of Lenox, Beverly and Ernest Johns of Douglas and Vicky and Greg Smith of Broxton; four brothers, Charles Garren, Thomas Garren and Russell Garren, all of Tifton and Ronald Garren of Moultrie; a daughter-in-law, Sandra Hill of Tifton; fourteen grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Traditions Hospice; Shunta Jackson, her aide from Always Caring; B.J. Brogdon, her hairdresser, and her special friends, Peggy Morris and Jean Horton for their loving care of Mrs. Faulkner.
