Andre P. LeRoux, 83, of New Bedford, died peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023. He was the husband of Cynthia P. (Polchlopek) LeRoux.
Born in New Bedford, son of the late Jean-Maurice and Cecile (Rouillier) LeRoux, he lived in New Bedford all of his life.
He served proudly in the U.S. Navy on the USS Saratoga.
Andre worked for NStar Gas Company as a laborer for 31 years before retiring.
Andre enjoyed fishing, visiting the New Bedford Airport, and taking walks on the beach or just around the neighborhood.
Survivors include his wife; his children, David LeRoux and his wife Carol of Acushnet, and Patricia Blowers and her husband Daniel of Freetown; his step-daughter, Bethany Arguin and her husband Michael of Freetown; his brother, Richard LeRoux and his wife Diane of Hyannis; his sister-in-law, Shirley (Texeira) LeRoux of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Vanessa Furtado, Haley LeRoux, Daymon LeRoux, Faith Blowers, Lily Blowers, Logan Blowers, Michaela Arguin and Brady Arguin; his great-grandchildren, Ella and Via Furtado; and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his son, Daniel LeRoux; and his siblings Claudette Bolduc and Donald LeRoux.
Andre's visitation will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 8-10 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. A service will be held in the Funeral Home at 10 AM and burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
