SOUTH PORTLAND- Ronald "Ronnie" Bruce Gammon passed away at Maine Medical Center on September 5th, 2023, after a series of health complications. Ronnie was born in Saco, Maine on October 7th, 1950, to Fulton and Carolyn (Dearborn) Gammon. He lived most of his life in the town of Limington where his family raised steers. He delivered newspapers and previously drove school bus for the Gorham and Sacopee Valley schools and loved driving the kids in the community. He adored passing his love for farming to his children and involved them in 4H. He enjoyed attending county fairs every chance he had. Ronnie loved Nascar and traveled as far as Daytona. He was known for attending or watching events like wrestling or concerts. He lived his later years in South Portland where he made great friends within his neighborhood that he considered family. He suffered from Brittle Bone Disease and received years of stellar care and friendship from his devoted main caregiver Mike Johns.
He is survived by his daughter Kristy Gammon, his son Joe Gammon, daughter-in-law Jessica (Gogan) Gammon, and grandchildren James, Casey, Tyler, and Acadia.
Services will be held at South Limington Free Baptist Church, at 10 AM Saturday September 23rd 2023.
