Nicholas Marzocca 85, a longtime resident of Abington, died Monday September 4, surrounded by love ones.
Born and raised in Quincy, he was the fifth child of the late Rita Marzocca. Nick had attended Quincy High School and eventually spent thirty-seven years as a detective for the Abington Police Department.
He had always enjoyed woodworking, fishing and boating and his daily trips to the “Hull Gut” as well as spending time with his pride and joy Maximus.
He was married to the late Dolly (Kelliher) Marzocca, the love of his life, for forty-three years.
He was the brother of the late Mary, Gloria, Tina, and Yvonne.
He leaves behind his five daughters, Debbie Coghill and her husband Eugene, Lisa Tracey and her husband James, Krissy Rosenfield and her husband Tommy, Val MacKinnon and her husband Michael, Nicole Murray and her husband Eric and his son Paul Marzocca and his wife Michelle. He also leaves behind his ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday September 11 at 10:30 AM in the Saint Bridget Church, 455 Plymouth Street, Abington.
By request of the family all other services are omitted.
