Donald E. Foley, age 89, of Malden passed away on Saturday, September 2nd, at Life Care Center of Stoneham. Raised and educated in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Edward and Jane (Lakus) Foley. Donald worked as a dispatcher in the trucking business and has lived in Medford since the mid-1960’s. He loved spending time with his family, who cherished him, visiting casinos, bowling and watching the Red Sox and Patriots play.
Donald was the beloved husband of the late Joyce (DeLuca) Foley, and the devoted father of Donna Grenier and her husband William, and Carol Foley. He was the loving grandfather of William Grenier and his wife Rachel, Janine Costa and her husband Jason, Donato DiPietrantonio and his Fiancee', Jessica Phinney, and Bianca DiPietrantonio and her partner, Andrew Silvestri. Donald is also survived by his adoring great granddaughter Lia Grenier.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with family on Monday, September 11th from 4 through 8 PM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 12th at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
