Donald B. Flint, 62

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Donald B. Flint, age 62, a lifelong resident of Mansfield and a fifth-generation farmer at Flint Farm in East Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He was the beloved husband of the late Beth A. (Bennett) Flint, to whom he was wed for thirty years at the time of her death on January 31, 2013.

Born in Attleboro, MA on February 25, 1961, he was a loving son of Marjorie E. (Sweet) Flint of Mansfield and the late Benjamin W. Flint.

Don grew up in town, was a 1979 graduate of Mansfield High School and a graduate of SUNY Cobleskill in New York. Following in his family’s footsteps, Don was a well-known figure on the farm and will always be remembered for his hard work ethics.

For fun and when not working, Don enjoyed collecting cars and antiques and his devotion to family and friends was second to none. He had a special love for vacationing in Saint Martin which was his happy place and home away from home. He also enjoyed times spent at the beach and visiting breweries. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but the memories he created will live on in their hearts forever.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his devoted sons: David B. Flint and his girlfriend Alexandria of Mansfield and Matthew L. Flint, Sr. and his wife Kerry of Mansfield. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew L. Flint, Jr. and Hunter B. Flint. He was the dear brother of Virginia Street and her longtime companion Bill of Mansfield and Nancy Flint of Mansfield. He was the adoring longtime companion of Debbie Donadio, with whom he made his home. He was the much-loved brother-in-law of Mary Lisk of Mansfield, Mark Bennett and his wife Jane of Connecticut and Keith Bennett and his wife BJ of Connecticut. He is also survived by his loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

All services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.

Those wishing may remember Donald with a donation in his memory made to the Tufts Medical Center Hematology Department, 800 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02111 or Our Daily Bread-Mansfield’s Food pantry, 15A West Street, Mansfield, MA 02048.
