C. Lambert “Worm” Hall, Jr., 79, of Tifton passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Southern Oaks Assisted Living in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Stephen Norris officiating. Mr. Hall will be laid to rest at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will be gathering at the home of Mickey and Vickie Hall Bryant, 4801 Frazier Circle in Tifton.
Mr. Hall’s nephews, Wade Hall, Charlie Hall, Dawson Patterson, Ethan Barfield, Richard Hall and Kenny Barfield, will serve as pallbearers.
Born February 23, 1944, in Leesville, South Carolina, Mr. Hall was the son of the late Capers Lambert Hall, Sr. and Wydenia Lorick Hall. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Imogene Hill Hall; two sisters, Wydenia Hall King and Rose Hall Wood; and a sister-in-law, Jane C. Hall.
Lambert was a 1962 graduate of Tifton High School. He began his career farming with the Grady Jones family of Chula. Mr. Grady and Mrs. Grace treated Lambert like one of their own sons. He later began Lambert Hall Trucking Company where he conquered the highways for over five decades. He, along with his brothers, developed a special bond being second generation truck drivers and made hauling memories on the road. Lambert also served in the National Guard from 1965-1971 with four months of active duty.
Mr. Hall is survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Linda Hall and Don and Annette Hall, all of Tifton, Billy and Penny Hall of Ty Ty, and Bryon and Heike Hall and Glen and Susan Hall, all of Leesville, South Carolina; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Mike Moore and Vickie and Mickey Bryant, all of Tifton.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Tift Area and the staff of Southern Oaks Assisted Living in Tifton for their kindness and care of Mr. Hall.
