Phuoc Dinh Tran, 82, of Worcester died Saturday, September 2nd in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves his wife of 74 years, Thi Thi Nguyen; three sons, Phu Tran and his wife, Bich Giang of Worcester, Nhan Tran and his wife, Lan Nguyen of Holden, and Dylan Tran and his wife, Thao Tran of Shrewsbury; three daughters, Vinh Tran and her husband, De Nguyen, Hoa Tran and her husband, Thap Bui, and Hanh Tran and her husband, Hung Vuong all of Worcester; five brothers and sisters in Vietnam; and 18 grandchildren.
He was born in Hoi An, Vietnam the son of Tuy Tran and Nang Huynh. Phuoc was a teacher in Vietnam for several years and immigrated to the United States in 1995. He enjoyed spending his time walking, harvesting plants for his wife, vacationing around the world, and most importantly spending time with his family.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 7th at 8:00 a.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed his funeral procession past the family home. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street. Calling hours are Wednesday, September 6th from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
