WORCESTER_ Mary Ann (Vogel) O’Keefe, 80, of Worcester died Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in her home with her family at her side. She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Russell J. O’Keefe, Sr. She also leaves her children, William O’Keefe with whom she lived, Russell O’Keefe, Jr. and his wife Kerri, Thomas O’Keefe and his wife Cindy, Ginger DeLorge, all of Worcester and Gale DeLorge of Shrewsbury; a sister Janet Korey, best friend Marge Smith, , eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Lorraine Carey and a grandson, Roger Bergeron. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of William and Millicent (Chase) Vogel.
Mrs. O’Keefe was a preschool teacher with the Head Start program for over thirty years prior to retiring. She was educated in Worcester Schools and graduated from Worcester State University. She was a devoted wife and mother and cherished all her grandchildren. Mary Ann was a committed Boston Bruins Fan and enjoyed going to play Bingo.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. The funeral will be held with a Mass at 10:30 am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St., Worcester.
