Linda L. (Costa) Zammuto, a longtime resident of Medford, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on Tuesday evening, August 29, 2023. She was 74 years old.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on April 16, 1949, she was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Lena (Peluso) Costa.
Linda was retired from the Hospitality Industry for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking and baking. She also enjoyed going on long walks and shopping. Above all, she loved to host and spend time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
Linda is survived by her loving children; Anthony Zammuto of Somerville, Rosalee Zammuto of Somerville, Charles and his wife Deborah Zammuto of Newton, Gregory and his wife Mary Zammuto of Medford and Heather and her wife Tina Zammuto of Whitingham, Vermont, sister; Janice Cormier of Somerville, grandchildren; Anthony, Koryn, Dominic, Harrison, GiVanna, Jackson and Alexandria, great-grandchildren; Manny, Lorenzo and Aria and many nieces and nephews. Linda was also the sister of the late Elizabeth Chapman and Jean Mucciarone and her daughter, Rosalee’s partner; the late Robert S. McGowan.
Her Funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 4 to 7 PM. Interment will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden.
