Obituary

Alan Machado, 76, of Dartmouth passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Deborah Robillard.

Mr. Machado was born in Fall River, son of the late John A. Machado, Jr. and the late Marguerite H. (Viera) Machado and had resided in Dartmouth for the last 36 years. Prior to retirement, he worked as an I.T. specialist. He played for and was one of the founding members of the band Funky White Honkies. He loved tinkering on old cars. He was a fan of all New England sports and the F1 Team Scuderia Ferrari. Mr. Machado's ideal day was visiting a winery or enjoying a barbecue with family and friends.

Survivors along with his wife include his 2 sons: Alexander J. Machado of Charlottesville, VA and Andrew D. Machado of Dartmouth; along with a niece and a nephew.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at the Potter Funeral Home at 7:00 P.M.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-7 P.M. prior to the service.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38101 or to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, 34 Washington St., Suite 310, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481.
