Charles H Perry Sr (Charlie)– Age 90 formerly of Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 29th, 2023 at the Lincolnwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Charlotte A Simpson) Perry to whom Charles was married for Sixty-Nine years.
Born at his home in Sharon, Ma on May 1, 1933. He was the son of the late John Perry. Evelyn Perry (Wilbur). Charles grew up in Sharon where he met the love of his life Charlotte at the local Roller-Skating Rink in Wrentham. Shortly after marriage he was drafted into the Army serving during the Korean war.
He worked in Construction his whole life operating heavy equipment such as Backhoes, Bulldozers, and Excavators. Charlie built his own house in Lee NH where he traveled to work at the Nuclear Power Plant in Seabrook NH. He was the President of the American Legion Post 222 in Norton. After retiring he started his own Construction company, he was a hardworking man who provided very well for his family.
Charles always looked for new adventures enjoying Ballroom, Square dancing and snowmobiling with his wife. He also enjoyed his home in St Albans Maine on a Lake where they found their piece of heaven. The family spent fourth of July’s in St Albans where the grandchildren learned to fish and water ski. Charles, AKA Papa had a Pontoon boat where he took all the grandchildren to Dicks Market to get penny candy this was always a treat not to mention family being together making memories.
Five children survive him: Charles H Perry Jr. of Norton, George A Perry and his wife Beth of Taunton, Richard P Perry and his wife Kim of Attleboro, Cindy L Poirier and her husband Jerry of Smithfield Rhode Island and Charlene A Teixeira and her husband Michael of Seekonk. He was the brother of late John Perry and his wife Evelyn of Walpole, the late Evelyn Prosser of Mansfield. is survived by a Stepbrother Frederick Dewhurst and his wife Evelyn of Lakeville Ma. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 Great grandchildren.
