He was predeceased by his parents, Ramon and Lucille Carrier, brother Robert Carrier and brother-in-law, Harry Johnson.

Born in 1949 Alan was a 1967 graduate of Dartmouth High School and a 1971 graduate of UMASS Dartmouth with a degree in marketing. Years later he returned to earn a degree in mechanical engineering.

Alan was a central figure in the family as a brother, uncle and friend. He could always be relied upon to help with car repairs, a mechanical issue in a home, a ride to an appointment or anything else that was needed.

Since our father's passing, it was Alan's maintenance of the property and exemplary support and care for our mother that allowed her in stay in the home the rest of her life.
