Stack Jr., Thomas F. of Boston, formerly of Dedham, MA, passed away at his home on August 27, 2023. He was 66 years old.
Born in Boston, Tom was the son of the late Thomas F Stack, Sr and the late Alice (Fitzhenry) Stack.
Raised in Boston as well, Tom had success both athletically and academically, at Boston College High School and then later at Harvard University, where he received his degree in history and spent time on the football team. He received his law degree at the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific which started his long and successful career in law, ending in more than 20 years at Liberty Mutual in Boston before retiring in early 2021.
Tom was an avid supporter of all Boston sports, especially the Red Sox and the Patriots, which stemmed from his own personal success in both baseball and football. As one of the most well-read people you would meet, he was always willing and eager to discuss history, current events, and politics at length.
Tom was a devoted father to his daughter, Emily Stack of Pittsburgh, PA, and his son, Sam Stack of Boston. He was the former husband of the late Mary Crosby Stack of Dedham. He was a loving brother to Barbara Gaynor of Halifax, MA and her husband Bert Gaynor, William Stack of Canton MA and his wife Lisa Stack, Theresa Stack of Scottsdale, AZ, Carolyn Phillips of Phoenix, AZ, and her husband Chandler Phillips, and the late Nancy Eastman of Medford, MA.
