Robert E. “Bob” Donovan, 78, of Wolfeboro and Londonderry, NH passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a period of illness. Bob was born on June 30, 1945, in Weymouth, MA a son of the late Arthur and Evelyn (Young) Donovan. Bob received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. It was there that he met the love of his life, Mim. He worked at the Department of Environmental Protection as an Environmental Engineer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the entirety of his professional career. He loved spending summers by the lake, his beloved pets, taking pictures, telling corny jokes, watching the weather, playing golf, cheering for the Patriots, and most of all spending time with his 6 grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Mim of Wolfeboro and Londonderry; son Michael Donovan and wife Nicole of Sandwich, MA and their children Patrick, Kieran, Aidan, and Jack; daughter Nancy Epstein and her husband Mike of Merrimack, NH their children Samuel and Jennifer; his sister, Deb Bayne and her husband David of Rockland, MA, and Wolfeboro. He is also survived by Rory, his Goldendoodle and Callie, his Maine Coon cat.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday September 5, 2023, from 4 – 7pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 6th at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
