Rohlfing, Alyce "Cookie" Of Roslindale, and Jamaica Plain, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 27, 2023. She had been a widow for several years after the passing of her partner, Domingo Vega. Alyce was the daughter of the late Roy Rohlfing, and the late Alice (MacCormack) Rohlfing. Alyce loved her family and would do anything to help anyone in need to the best of her ability. Alyce was a Devoted mother to the late Alexandria Vega of Roslindale, Christopher Vega & Tracee Geary of Canton, Moises Vega of Roslindale and Michael Rohlfing-Vega of West Roxbury. Devoted grandmother to Andre Vega, Annalyce Vega, Anaya Vega, Alexavier Vega, Isabella Vega, Brycen Vega, Savannah Vega and Mya Everett. Loving Step-Mother to Nancy Vega, Sofia Vega-Jones, Elizabeth Vega, Irene Vega, Monica Vega and Domingo Vega. Sister of James McCormack and his wife Maria Victoria of Weymouth and Madrid, Spain, Joanne MacCormack of Panama City, FL, the late Roy Rohlfing of Hyde Park, Robert Rohlfing and his wife Barbara of West Roxbury, the late Candy Kelly and her husband John of Hyde Park and George Rohlfing and his wife Karen of Quincy. She leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews on both the Rohlfing and Vega sides of the families along with countless friends.
Visiting hours in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., West Roxbury, Thursday, August 31st from 9-11am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 11:30am.
