John E. Jancaitis, 76, of Hull, MA, passed away on August 4, 2023 after a brief illness. John was predeceased by his parents, Frances Willoughby Jancaitis and Baltrus Jancaitis, and his brother James Jancaitis.
John grew up in Lunenburg, Massachusetts where he played in the first ever Lunenburg High football game and was captain of the Blue Knights his senior year. John graduated from Northeastern University in 1969 with a BA in Business Administration. He was a member of the NU Varsity Football team where he made several lifelong friends. John received his MBA in Business Administration from Boston University in 1972. John worked in insurance information technology for many years and founded Axint Technologies in 1985.
Before moving to Hull, MA in 2002, John lived in Hingham, MA since 1976 where he was a member of the Hingham Yacht Club, The Hingham Striders, the Hingham Congregational Church and the Halifax Country Club.
John is survived by his wife, Betsy (Woollacott) who he first dated while in high school, his three children, Jason Jancaitis of Melrose, MA, Ryan Jancaitis of Dallas, TX and Jessica Browne of Harrisonburg, VA and seven grandchildren.
Burial will be private and in lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation be made in John’s name to Wounded Warriors or Tunnel to Towers.
