Edward David "Dave" LeCam age 85, passed away on August 8, 2023, in Natick, Massachusetts. He was born on July 22, 1938, in Lowell, Massachusetts, to Edward “Ted” and Elizabeth (Hamilton) LeCam.
Dave was an outspoken and passionate educator, dedicating many decades of his life to the students of Hingham Public Schools. His commitment to public education was a legacy of which he and his family are immensely proud. Personally, Dave had a deep love for his family, an outrageous sense of humor, and a keen interest in politics, travel, history, and sports.
Dave is survived by his wife, Sheila (O'Neil), their daughter Mary Kate and her partner Domenic, his sister Miriam “Mim” Lundy, his brothers Peter (Donna) and Michael (Patti), as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Laurence, and his sister Regis.
Dave's educational journey began at Keith Academy, where he completed his high school education. He went on to further his studies at Lowell State, Suffolk University, and Cambridge College.
Dave proudly served his country in the United States Army.
In his leisure time, Dave enjoyed participating in softball leagues, showcasing his competitive spirit and love for the game.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. at Belkin Family Lookout Farm (www.lookoutfarm.com) in South Natick, Massachusetts.
