Susan R. Bowen passed away peacefully on Monday August 21, 2023 at Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, MA surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 19, 1953, to the late Richard and Rita (Marquis) Werner in Derry, NH. Susan raised her family in Londonderry and later lived in Manchester and Weare, NH. Susan grew up in Derry, enjoying seasonal pursuits with her family. Her favorite spot was the family’s cottage on Webster Lake in Franklin. Susan graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry and went on to Castle College. She worked many years as an executive assistant at Centronics before working in the office at Shaw’s Supermarket in Derry while she raised children, later moving into administrative roles in the medical field.
Susan was dedicated to raising her children and was a very involved parent. She could be found on the sideline of many different Londonderry High School sports for her two children over the years. She enjoyed cooking and was known for baking\desserts, especially those with fresh berries from the garden.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Lisa Adam and her husband Chris of Marblehead, MA; their two sons, Grant and Nolan; her son Craig Bowen and his wife Beth of Albuquerque, NM; their two daughters Skylar and Tatum; two brothers, Scott Werner and his wife Kathy of Epping, NH, and Randy Werner and his partner Sally Streitmatter of Franklin, NH; as well as four nephews and one niece. Over the past several years Susan enjoyed the companionship of Steve Hebb.

Following cremation, calling hours will be held on Monday, August 28th from 4 - 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A private graveside service will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry.
