Rita Ann Elizabeth (Steinman) Hogan, 58, of Peabody, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, August 12, 2023. She was a daughter of the late Beverly (Murphy) Curtin and the late Robert Curtain.
Born January 23, 1965, in Woburn, she grew up and was educated in Lowell, graduating from Lowell High School. Rita was a homemaker and then worked as a waitress in several of the area restaurants.
A free spirit, always silly, and fun to be around is how those who were lucky enough to know Rita would describe her. She would give you the shirt off her back and was always willing to help anyone in anyway she was able to. She loved singing, dancing, doing crafts, and was a friend and helping hand to all animals.
Her survivors include her daughter, Kristy Ortolani of Gloucester and her two grandsons, Christian and Isaiah, both of Gloucester. She is also survived by her brother David Curtin and his wife, Kathy, of Epsom, NH and her sister April Paolini and her husband, Steven, of Peabody; as well as her nieces and nephews including Chris, Nick, Barry and Krystal and also Eric.and her sister in law, Paula.
She was predeceased by her son, Phillip Steinman, her nephew, Joshua, and her brother, Christopher Steinman.
