WORCESTER__Robert J. Cavalieri, 82, of Worcester died on Friday, August 18, 2023, in his home. His wife of fifty-three years, Inez Mae Cavalieri passed away in November 2022. He leaves a sister Marion Alexander of Worcester, MA. He also leaves his three daughters, Lisa Cavalieri, her spouse Sherri Lusignan, Ann Dallair and her partner Peter A. Wyman, Mary Mercadante and her spouse Joseph Mercadante. He leaves many grandchildren Matthew Dallair, Marissa Dallair, Christopher Dallair, Sydney Mercadante, Evan Mercadante, and Alex Mercadante. He leaves one great-granddaughter Cassandra Anne Dallair. He was born in Worcester, the son of Joseph and Sophie (Duszak) Cavalieri. He also leaves his best friend of over 53 years John Lake, from Punta Gorda, FL. He also leaves his beloved dog Milo and cat Mittens who will surely miss him.
Mr. Cavalieri graduated from St. Stephens High School. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. As a teen, he worked at Hawkeye’s hamburgers where he met the love of his life whom he ended up marrying. He was a long-time manager of the former Gino’s Restaurant. He retired from Warren Equities several years ago. He enjoyed watching television, particularly horror and war movies. He liked going out to eat, and a favorite was Wright’s Chicken Farm. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to Walmart or Dollar store trips. He also liked going to the movies to see the newest horror movies on the big screen.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am followed by a service in HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St. Burial will be private. www.worcesterfuneral.com
