Hazel Wright Jones, age 75 of Coffeeville, MS died in the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN on June 20, 2006 after suffering from a long term illness. She was a retired L.P.N. for the Yalobusha General Hospital and a member of Elam Baptist Church of Coffeeville, A member of Elam Ladies Prayer Circle in Coffeeville, MS.
Visitation will be Friday evening June 24, 2006 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM. Funeral services will be at Elam Baptist Church east of Coffeeville, MS at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 25, 2006 with Brother Charles Nail officiating. Music will be provided by Greta Brewer. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Grandsons,Michael Frith, Steve Mitchell, Jr., Matt Hood, Corey Frith, Ethan Short, Robbie Taylor and family friend Charles Bennett serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her mother, Mary Chandler Harris of Coffeeville, MS: three daughters: Veeneena Hood of Southaven, MS, Hazel L. Mitchell of Holcomb, MS and Renee` Pepper of Houlka, MS: two sons. Marvin Frith, JR of Huntsville, AL and David Jones of Coffeeville, MS: four sisters, Maggie Heaton of Peoria, IL, Dorothy Dennis of Tucker, GA, Josephine Wright of Water Valley, MS and Patricia Purdy of Kingsport, TN: one brother Roy Wright of Coffeeville, MS. She laves ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Preceding Mrs. Jones in death were her husband, W. L. Jones (October 1997): Parents, Monroe Wright and Mary Chandler Wright and three brothers, Donald Wright, Theo Wright and Ralph Wright.
