Fall River - Mariette R. (Carmoni) Kirby, 66, of Westport, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at St. Anne’s Hospital after a short illness. She was the wife of Robert E. Kirby.
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Maroni) Carmoni, and had resided in Westport for the past 34 years. Mrs. Kirby was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport. She enjoyed reading and traveling.
Including her husband of 40 years, she is survived by 2 sons: Robert V. Kirby of New Bedford and Michael G. Kirby of Westport; 3 daughters: Christina A. Dobyna of Westport, Dora L. Palardy of Westport and Sherrie A. DuVarney of Westport; 12 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Ida Vinet.
Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 4:30 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Calling hours Saturday 2 – 4:30 P.M. prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
