Daniel J. Murphy, age 54, of Norton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at home on Friday, August 18, 2023. He was the husband of Stephanie (Bonefant) Murphy.
Born in Attleboro, MA on March 24, 1969, he was a loving son of Barbara J. (Lee) Molitor and her husband Robert of Norton and the late Noel Murphy, Sr.
A resident of Norton for most of his life, Dan grew up in Norton and was a graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, being an avid member of the Foxborough Horseshoe League and all things related to nature.
Throughout his working career, Dan was well-known as a hard worker and talented house framer. He learned his profession from the late Lewis Davison, Jr., whom he loved and considered more of a father figure than a boss. Following the passing of Mr. Davison in 2021, Dan ventured out on his own, establishing the D. Murphy Framing Co.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by his devoted children: Ryan Pardey of North Attleboro, Kayla Murphy of Warwick, Rhode Island and Jennifer Pina and her husband Juan of Des Moines, Iowa. He was the dear brother of Noel Murphy, Jr. of Norton, Stephen Murphy of Virginia, Philip Murphy and his wife Linda of Norton and Wendy Farrington and her husband Dean of Arizona. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
A service in celebration of his life will be held at a later date and place to announced. Burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
