Victor C. Amodeo of Chelsea, 91, passed away on Thursday, August 17th at the VA hospital in West Roxbury. Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Eduardo and Anna (DeStefano) Amodeo. Victor proudly served in the Army during the Korean War, and after returning to civilian life worked as a painter. He has resided in Chelsea for over 50 years. When not spending time with his family, Victor enjoyed the races at Suffolk Downs.
Victor was the beloved husband of the late Jessica (Capobianco) Amodeo, and the devoted father of Victor Amodeo Jr. and Lisa Amodeo. He was the loving grandfather of Michael Amodeo, and Daniel Amodeo and his wife Iuliia. Victor was the great grandfather of Lyla and Kaia, and dear brother of Edward Amodeo and the late Joseph Amodeo, Mary Catino and her husband Rocco. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, on Wednesday, August 23rd at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 9 through 11 AM in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
