James A. White
Retired Technology Executive

TEWKSBURY: James A. White, age 78, formerly of Tewksbury, Pepperell and Mashpee MA passed away at the Lowell General Hospital- Saints Campus on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, following an extended illness.

Born in Chelsea on July 29, 1945, he was the son of the late Alexander J. and Mary “Phyllis” (Harper) White.

James was raised in Tewksbury. He graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School in 1963 and later attended Franklin Pierce College, where he received his bachelor’s degree.

In 1966, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Jim served during the Vietnam War Era aboard the U.S.S. Taconic and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his active-duty service.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a senior executive in the high-tech industry and rounded off his career as a senior advisor, sharing his knowledge and expertise of various platforms throughout several corporations.

In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, dancing, listening to golden oldies, reading the Boston Globe, and taking scenic rides on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by his longtime partner, Nancy deLone, of Mashpee: four children, Lauren Prime and her husband Wayne, Alan White and his wife Dennise, David White and his wife Jacqueline, and Meghan Stevens and her husband Derek: twelve grandchildren, James and Evan Hansen, Julia, Annabelle, Cassy, Sullivan and Ezra Prime, Gareck and Emily White, Cameron and Adam White and Jack Stevens: two sisters, Sandra Mouser and her husband Kenneth and Cynthia Webb and her husband David: his former wife, Karen Sager White: many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, September 9th, from 2-4 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, immediately followed by a memorial remembrance service to be held at the funeral home. Private inurnment will take place later at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
