GORHAM- Norma M. Williams, 89, of Gorham, ME passed away on 08/14/2023 at Gosnell Hospice House
in Scarborough, ME after a long battle with heart disease.
She was born in Haverhill, MA to Christine (Giroux) Stanley and Franklin Stanley Sr. on April 4, 1934.
Norma married Carleton Murray at a young age and together they raised 6 children. They moved to
Maine in 1976. Several years after Carleton's passing, Norma remarried George (Harris) Williams and
they resided in Waterford, ME for 10 years. Norma worked most of her life in the manufacturing industry. Bailey Co. in Seabrook, NH, Eastland Shoe in Fryeburg, ME and many years at Vulcan Electric
in Kezar Falls, ME until her retirement due to health issues.
Norma loved her family, her church and had several hobbies including cooking, reading, knitting and
crafts. She loved to be with her family and spent as much time as she could with them. She will be
remembered for her love of children, animated stories and her sassy disposition.
She is predeceased by her parents, both husbands, her sister, Evelyn Hicks and her 3 sons, Ronald Murray, Russell Murray, and Scott Murray.
Surviving are her brother Franklin Stanley Jr. of Portales, NM, her sister Lorraine Gaquin of No. Conway,
NH, her 3 daughters; Christine McNulty and her husband Joe of Porter, ME, Kathleen Davis and Trudy Keyser of York, ME. Alsomany grandchildren and great grandchildren who were a source of great pride and joy.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
