LOWELL Isaltina (Silva) Da Silva, 84, of Lowell, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. She was the widow of the late Leontino Da Silva, with whom she had celebrated 65 years of Marriage before his death.
A daughter of the late Joao and the late Maria Silva, she was born February 17, 1939, in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal, and was raised and educated there. At the age of twenty seven she moved with her family to the United States, making her home in Lowell’s Back Central Street Neighborhood until her passing. Isaltina worked in the area factories including Paris Shoe, and retired from Wang Laboratories as a circuit board assembler.
She was a member of the Portuguese American Center, "Blues Club", life member of the Holy Ghost Society. She also spent time at the Portuguese American Civic League, "Reds Club". She was a good cook, well known for her soup and her desserts. She always enjoyed a good conversation, especially with her siblings. She loved her time spent out at the Holy Ghost and the clubs. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her survivors include her son, Eddie Da Silva and his fiance, Melinda Mitchell, of Lowell; her 4 grandchildren,her 4 great grandchildren and all her beloved siblings.
She was predeceased by her grand daughter, Savannah Da Silva.

You are invited to Her visitation from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday at the MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL 978-458-6816. Her Funeral Mass will be offered at ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH, 863 Central Street, Lowell at 12 p.m. following the visitation. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery.
