Lillian J. (Vincent) Jean, age 96, of Norton, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Raynham. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Jean, who died on March 27, 1993.
Born in Westport, MA on November 30, 1926, she was a loving daughter of the late Romeo and Annie (Warmby) Vincent. Lillian grew up and was educated in Westport.
A resident of Norton for the past seventy-four years, Lillian was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family, whom she loved more than anything else in life. Affectionately known as “Nana Jean” and “Hawkeyes”, she was truly one-of-a kind.
Lillian was well known for having a green thumb in the garden and her award-winning tulips made her yard complete. She also received much pleasure watching the birds that gathered each day at her bird feeders and all things pertaining to water sports, especially on the Norton Reservoir. Lillian also had a sweet tooth for playing cards and the games were always better when she was winning her opponents money. Dancing with her late husband Joseph was another favorite pastime and the lifelong memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
She is survived by her devoted son Wayne M. Jean and his wife Jennifer of Sacramento, California and her daughter Susan. She was the cherished, adored and extremely proud grandmother of Sean Ribeiro of Norton, Dylan Ribeiro and his wife Shelby of Norton, Nikki Ribeiro of Norton and the great grandmother of Pace Ribeiro and Madden Ribeiro. She was the dear sister of Gertrude Bonilla of Bonita Springs, Florida and was pre-deceased by nine siblings. She is also survived by her best fury friend “Mr. Cha-Cha”.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her graveside funeral service on Tuesday, August 22nd at 10:00 A.M. at the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Plain Street, in Norton.
