Larry R. Butler, 71, of Holliston passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, August 14, 2023 after battling lung cancer.
Larry was born September 23, 1951 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada .
He was a 1971 graduate of Holliston High School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. Prior to retiring he was a CNA at Kindred Hospital, where he made many friends and memories.
He was predeceased by his parents Grant & Frances (Schofield) Butler.
Larry is survived by; his daughter, Brandee Zide and her husband Scott of Marlborough, three siblings; Gary Butler and his wife Betty of Wheatland, Indiana; Darlene Best and her husband John of Nashua, New Hampshire; Deborah Power and her husband Michael of Medway; nieces and nephews; Lori Roark, Tim Butler, Leigha Power, Bryan Power, Sierra Best, three great nieces and nephews, as well as one cherished granddaughter, Poppy Zide.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 22 at the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street in Medway (ginleyfuneralhomes.com) from 6 – 8 p.m.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, his birthday, at Bolton Street Tavern, 587 Bolton Street in Marlborough from 1 – 4 pm.
A private burial with military honors will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
