Izaura Nunes Santos nee (Silva) passed away peacefully at 85 years of age on August 11, 2023 in Peabody, MA.
Izaura was born on June 13, 1938 in Caravelas, Bahia, Brazil to Ana Nunes Silva and Lauro Nunes Silva. She lived in Brazil until 1961 when she immigrated to the U.S. Izaura was a mother of 8 children, a homemaker, and worked as a fancy stitcher at Duchess Shoes in Salem for many years. Her passion was cooking. She loved to cook and feed others and share her delicious meals. She will be greatly missed by all.
Izaura leaves behind 2 sons, Reinaldo "Ray" G. Santos of Spokane, WA, and Robert J. Santos and daughter-in-law Dawn of Bennington, VT and 4 daughters, Maria Madigan of Windham NH., Gloria Eppinger and son-in-law Michael of Peabody MA, Susanna Santos of Beverly MA, and Anna Lavoie and son-in-law Christian of Ft Collins, CO. She leaves behind a sister, Benedita Muniz of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, extended family, and former husband Reinaldo Santos of Deerfield Beach, FL. Izaura was predeceased by 2 sons Romney S. Santos and Robert Nunes Santos, her mother, father and her late siblings in Brazil.
Her final arrangements will be Private at the family's request.
