Chet Ciborowski (‘Mr. C’) November 9, 1924 - July 31, 2023
Chester Joseph Ciborowski was the last of 6 children born to Polish immigrants Bronislaw Ciborowski and Maryanna Wojciki on November 9, 1924. He left this world on July 31, 2023.
Chet was raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts. After high school, he served his country in WWII - Army branch stationed in Thule, Greenland. After his tour, he married Dorothy Perry Alves on September 2nd, 1946.
They celebrated 75 anniversaries together.
Chet never met a tool or a project he could not handle. From building the family home in New Bedford, making shorty skis in the basement, building a family camper, creating beautiful pieces of furniture, establishing himself as a master ornamental blacksmith and opening and operating Packet Landing Iron in West Barnstable until his retirement.
Chet dedicated his life to his family. His wife and business partner Dorothy preceded him in death in 2021. He is survived by his 4 children; daughter Carol and husband Mike of Austin, daughter Jean and husband Tom of Yarmouth Port, son Michael and wife Lisa of Easton and son James [of Colonial Blacksmith] of Sandwich. He has 5 grandchildren, Jeri Dee, Lindsey, Dana, Matthew and Eva and 8 great grandchildren.
He will be buried at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Mass.

and rendered military honors for his service and sacrifice to the country.
