Scott W. Noel, 44 of Derry, NH, died Monday, June 19, 2006 at his home following a courageous year long battle with cancer. Mr. Noel was born in Methuen, MA on April 28, 1962, a son of Ernest and Elaine (Pierce) Noel. He was a resident of Derry for the past four years, having formerly lived in Ocala, FL for over 10 years. He grew up in Hampstead, NH and had attended Pinkerton Academy in Derry. He owned and operated Five Star Finishes contracting business. Mr. Noel loved playing softball and enjoyed spending time at the beach. He was a fan of all New England Sports Teams, especially the Boston Red Sox, and had recently met Jason Varitek. He was also a Florida Gator fan and enjoyed watching Sports Center. He was a very good father, and was a kind, polite and gentle man.
He is survived by his wife of four years, Michelle (Canning) Noel of Derry, two step-daughters, Hannah and Kaila Abrams and a daughter, Julia Noel, all at home, his parents, Ernest and Elaine (Pierce) Noel of Ocala, FL, 7 brothers, Kenneth Noel, Richard Noel, Thomas Noel, David Noel, Tim Noel, Paul Noel, and Dean Noel, five sisters, Diane Leone, Nancy Borman, Karen Doran, Judy Morse and Jessica St. Hilaire. There are also many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as a large circle of friends.
Following cremation a celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Tuesday June 27, 2006 at 7:00pm in the Atkinson Country Club, 85 Country Club Dr., Atkinson, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to "The Scott Noel Memorial Fund" at any Citizens Bank Branch, or mail to Citizens Bank, 42 Pinkerton St., Derry, NH 03038. This fund has been established to help his children.
