David “Dee”M. DeMarsh, age 61, passed away on August 12, 2023 at the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. He was born on November 25, 1961 in Holyoke, and lived in Chicopee his entire life. David was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1979. Dee worked for various companies throughout his life and retired as a trucker in 2019. He enjoyed watching his sports, Bruins being his favorite along with the LA Lakers and Rams. He also loved to hang out at “the tree” with his great lifetime friends from Chicopee and would still get together with these friends at the Dougout Café. He was a loving and caring soul and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his sister Laurie Fagnant of Chicopee whom he loved; his niece Melissa whom he cherished, all his close friends, his girlfriend Donna Lindsay and his little “sweetheart” Alie Berneche. He is predeceased by his mother Mary DeMarsh and brother Kenny DeMarsh. A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Burial will be private at a later date.
